France Lands Over EUR110 Billion in AI and Data Center Pledges, But Hurdles Loom
France has secured a whopping EUR110 billion (US$126.8 billion) in commitments for artificial intelligence and data center investments at the recent Choose France summit. The largest single pledge, a staggering EUR75 billion, is dedicated to building three massive data centers in northern France. However, the actual implementation of these plans is far from guaranteed, as they face significant challenges related to power supply and regulatory approvals.
