CM Naidu disburses Rs 300 cr to Veligonda project evacuees; launches Sanjeevani health programme

Andhra Pradesh’s CM Naidu Rolls Out ₹300 Cr Relief Package for Veligonda Project Evacuees

Andhra Pradesh’s Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, has taken a significant step towards alleviating the plight of over 50,000 families displaced by the Veligonda project. ₹300 crore has been disbursed to support these evacuees, marking a crucial milestone in the project’s execution.

The Veligonda project, aimed at providing drinking water to several districts, has faced numerous challenges, including disputes over land acquisition and environmental concerns. The CM’s latest move aims to bring much-needed relief to the affected families.

Sanjeevani Digital Health Programme Launch

CM Naidu also announced the launch of Sanjeevani, a digital health programme slated to roll out in August. This initiative aims to bring healthcare services to the doorstep of rural communities, improving access to medical facilities and ensuring timely interventions in emergency situations. With Sanjeevani, patients will be able to schedule appointments online, track their health records, and access expert consultations remotely.

What this means

The Veligonda project’s phase-one water supply is expected to be operational by July 31, bringing respite to the affected families. The Sanjeevani digital health programme promises to bridge the healthcare gap in rural Andhra Pradesh, empowering citizens to take charge of their well-being. These developments demonstrate the CM’s commitment to providing relief and improving the lives of his constituents.
