According to Elie Bursztein, a security expert at Google, “The idea that a single AI model could suddenly make all our cybersecurity efforts obsolete is a bit far-fetched.” He notes that the technology is still largely untested, and that the vast majority of attacks are still carried out by humans.

As Bursztein puts it, “We’ve been dealing with threats from humans for years, and we’ve gotten pretty good at it. The fact that we’re now dealing with AI-generated threats doesn’t change the fundamentals of how we approach security.”
