Foxlink, a Taiwanese electronics manufacturing services (EMS) company, has just opened its first-ever AI demonstration factory in the US, in Fort Worth, Texas. This facility marks a significant step forward in the company’s bid to showcase its cutting-edge AI capabilities to American customers.
A New Hub for Industrial Automation
The AI demonstration factory, also known as Foxlink Texas (FTI), will serve as a proof-of-concept space where customers can experience and interact with Foxlink’s AI-powered manufacturing solutions. These solutions are designed to enhance industrial automation, improve efficiency, and increase productivity for manufacturing businesses. By providing a hands-on experience, FTI aims to help potential clients envision the benefits of implementing AI in their own operations.
The AllianceTexas campus, located near Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, was chosen for its strategic location, access to top engineering talent, and proximity to major transportation hubs. This will enable Foxlink to efficiently transport products and components to and from the factory, making it easier to serve American customers.
A Partnership with Texas A&M University
During the opening ceremony, Foxlink Texas (FTI) announced a partnership with the Texas A&M University Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) to develop customized AI training programs for local students and professionals. This partnership will provide participants with skills in AI development, data analytics, and automation engineering, further bolstering the region’s AI talent pool.
What this means is that companies based in the US will now have direct access to Foxlink’s AI capabilities, and the potential to see tangible improvements in their manufacturing processes. This is just the beginning of a new era in industrial automation in Texas, and we’ll be keeping a close eye on this development in the months to come.
