AI Certification Training Floods into Ohio, Starting May 2026
JobsOhio and the Enterprise Technology Association are teaming up to bring AI certification training to thousands of Ohioans through a statewide initiative called ‘AI Ready Ohio.’ This move aims to increase the state’s pool of AI-skilled workers and make Ohio a hub for AI innovation.
The partnership will see both in-person and virtual certification training being offered to Ohioans, with a focus on workforce development and career advancement. The training is designed to equip individuals with the skills needed to work in AI-related fields, from data science to machine learning.
The Enterprise Technology Association has already secured partnerships with several key technology companies and Ohio universities to provide the training. Ohio State University, Case Western Reserve University, and the University of Cincinnati are among the institutions that will be offering these programs.
The training programs will be designed to meet the diverse needs of learners, from beginners to those looking to upskill and reskill. “We’re committed to making sure that our workforce has the skills and training they need to compete in the jobs of tomorrow,” said Jennifer Gibson, CEO of JobsOhio. “AI Ready Ohio is a critical step in achieving that goal.”
The initiative is part of a broader effort to position Ohio as a leader in AI innovation. With the increasing demand for AI-skilled workers, Ohio hopes to attract more tech companies and startups to the state, generating new economic opportunities and driving growth.
### What This Means
What this means for Ohioans is a chance to develop in-demand skills and boost their career prospects. With thousands of people expected to participate in the training programs, Ohio is poised to become a hub for AI innovation and job growth. As AI becomes increasingly ubiquitous, having a strong pool of AI-skilled workers will be crucial for Ohio’s economic success.
