Trade ministers from the 21 APEC member economies convened in Jakarta to discuss strengthening rules-based trade cooperation amid a shaky global economy.

The Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum, which accounts for nearly 60% of global trade, is critical in shaping the rules of trade.
