Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) scientists have launched the Space Technology & Research Program 2026 at Chandigarh University. This five-year program aims to develop talent and drive innovation in space technology and research.
Partnering with IIST
The program, CU Space, brings together the expertise of ISRO scientists and researchers from the Indian Institute of Space Technology (IIST) to provide training and research opportunities for research scholars and students.
CU Space will cover various aspects of space technology, including satellite communication, propulsion systems, and space mission design. The program’s curriculum has been designed to equip scholars and students with the skills and knowledge needed to contribute to the growth of India’s space program.
Training and Research Opportunities
The ISRO scientists and researchers involved in the program will provide hands-on training and mentorship to participants. This will enable them to develop a deeper understanding of space technology and its applications in real-world scenarios.
The program will also offer research opportunities in various areas of space technology, allowing participants to work on projects that align with their interests and career goals. This will not only enhance their knowledge but also provide them with practical experience that can be applied in their future careers.
What this means
The launch of the Space Technology & Research Program 2026 at Chandigarh University is a significant step towards developing India’s space capabilities. By providing training and research opportunities, the program aims to cultivate a new generation of space professionals who can contribute to the country’s growth in the field.
This program will help bridge the gap between academia and industry, enabling students and researchers to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios. It will also enable ISRO to tap into the talent pool of Chandigarh University and other partner institutions, further enhancing India’s space program.
