Breaking News: Commercial Building Explodes in New Jersey, Multiple People Injured and in Critical Condition
A devastating explosion rocked a commercial building in Logan Township, New Jersey, on Wednesday, leaving multiple people injured and in critical condition. According to FOX 29, four employees of Savita Naturals, the company that occupies the building, were injured in the blast and remain in critical condition.
Witnesses described the explosion as massive, with some stating that they felt the blast from hundreds of feet away. One witness told FOX 29 that they called 911 after seeing someone on fire emerge from the building. The explosion caused extensive damage to the facility, as well as a neighboring building, according to Gloucester County Emergency Management officials.
The incident is currently being investigated by multiple agencies, including fire and hazmat units, which are monitoring the burn off of additional fuel product stored on-site and conducting air monitoring in the community. Authorities initially asked residents and businesses within a two-mile radius of the explosion to shelter in place “until further notice,” but the order was lifted as of 5 p.m. Wednesday.
The cause of the explosion is still unclear, and officials are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The New Jersey community is in shock, and residents are being advised to stay vigilant and follow any updates from local authorities.
This is a developing story, and FOX News will provide updates as more information becomes available. In the meantime, our thoughts are with the victims and their families, and we wish them a speedy recovery.
